United Smith Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal

United Smith Memorial has been in existence for more than 20 years. Pastor George A. Dix Jr. was appointed as Senior Pastor on December 2013. Our church started a food program a few years ago that was serving 10 families a month. Some of the members would deliver grocery bags to families in need, In January of this year, we were approved by the Alameda County Food Bank to distribute produce and other foods. Since then we have increased the number of families from 10 to about 130 a month. We also recently started giving used shoes to anyone who is need and we were also able to give some care bags( which includes toiletries, shampoo,toothbrush, toothpaste, soaps) to anyone that needs them. Our church is open to anyone regardless of where they came from or what their race is. We also have small groups once a week that meets in members homes and we have a bible study every Monday from 6:30 and this is taught by our Pastor. Recently, our church participated in the National Night Out, we were able to meet some of our neighbors and the children had a lot of fun playing games and winning prizes.
