Christians By The Bay

The first southern baptist church in Pinole,CA established last year (September 2012). This church was started through Home Bible study of two Christian families and now it grows to 30 plus in membership. The church is predominantly Filipinos. The church serves Pinole community through intentional ministries such as cleaning up streets, parks and participating in their Festivals through free distribution of water, soda and Lumpia. The pastor who leads has a polio but does not become an excuse in preaching the word of God. The pastor got his two masters degrees at Golden Gate seminaries last year, MDiv and MA Edicational Leadership and was the first Filipino who received the Preaidential Leadership Award from Golden Gate Seminary. While leading this new church, the pastor is also equipping and mentoring 12 adult members to become the next effective leaders in the church; his wife is also training the youth. The pastor is a strong believer of a church-based leadership training and discipleship. God has blessed the church with new bible studies in Hercules.
