Megan Woods announces her self-titled album, Megan Woods, set to release on October 9. The forthcoming project marks an exciting new chapter for Woods, whose powerful vocals, vulnerable storytelling, and message of finding identity and worth in Christ have quickly connected with listeners worldwide.
“This album is about identity, hope, and remembering that we were made for something greater,” shares Woods. “My music comes from a personal journey of discovering my identity in Christ, and my mission is helping people see themselves the way God sees them.”
That mission has been at the heart of Woods’ music since the release of her debut and breakout single, “The Truth.” The song has surpassed 130 million streams, consistently generates more than one million weekly U.S. streams and has inspired more than 83,000 user-created videos. “The Truth” also reached No. 1 on multiple CCM radio charts and earned RIAA Gold certification.
“The success of ‘The Truth’ showed me how much people need reminders of who they are in Christ,” Woods adds.
The song’s extraordinary response helped introduce Woods to a rapidly growing audience, and she now reaches more than two million followers across social media. Named Billboard’s 2025 No. 1 Top New Christian Artist, Woods was also recognized as a 2024 Pandora Artist to Watch and 2024 Amazon Artist to Watch. Her growing career has included appearances on Fox & Friends, ABC News Now, and the Grand Ole Opry. She is also nominated this year for the GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year; last year, her breakthrough song was nominated for Song of the Year.
The upcoming album continues the honest, faith-filled storytelling that first connected Woods with listeners while expanding on themes of identity, hope, and the promises found in Christ. Among the songs featured on the project is “Heaven Down Here,” inspired by conversations surrounding Compassion International and the organization's work, the world around us, and the hope believers have in Christ.
The album arrives during a busy fall for Woods as she returns to the road for the fall leg of The Truth Tour, beginning October 1 and continuing through November 22, with Jeremy Rosado joining as special guest. Centered around worship, storytelling and genuine connection, the tour carries the same message that has become foundational to Woods’ music: discovering identity and worth in Christ and returning to the truth of who God says we are.
